About Caitlin Hazelton
I am a lifetime long artist. A love of art is in my blood and was passed down to me from my parents. I first learned to shoot on my dad's 1980 Ricoh 35 mm film camera, and still used it into high school and college. Since then, I expanded my photography experience into medium and large format, darkroom, digital and beyond. I studied art, photography and lighting at Columbia College Chicago, and received my degree in the field in 2003, and I continue to learn more every day. Art, photography and people are my passion and I have had the amazing opportunity to combine these three in my business.
My passion for art education started a very young age, and I love to learn and teach others about art and photography. I offer one-on-one photography lessons and mentorships, and continue to professionally photograph portraits and events. I have a large network of local artists that inspire me and inform my professional teaching practice and I firmly believe in bringing a sense of belonging, self efficacy and community to my classroom and encourage students to use those life skills beyond their time in school. I really love meeting new people, hearing your stories, and helping you capture these lives you lead in a creative and beautiful way. Thanks for stopping by! Hope to hear from you soon. <3
