Art & Community Curriculum

During my time as a Master of Science in Art Education candidate at Northern Illinois University, I developed my skills in curriculum writing and have created a semester long high school level art curriculum that is based on identity discovery and engagement with the community.  The curriculum includes several different media including traditional and digital art and provides students with a way to use the visual arts to empower themselves and their surrounding communities through teamwork, visual communication and social justice.
